Amid the COVID-19 outbreak and the unprecedented challenges faced by the healthcare system in Israel and worldwide, Comtal Group is proud to take an active part in the national and international effort to prevent the virus’s spread and support patients — through its subsidiaries operating advanced technologies in collaboration with leading healthcare organizations.
Conlog, specializing in motion and control system integration, collaborated with Yehonatan Medical and medical teams from Sheba Medical Center to develop a new multi-line ventilator. The system is designed to assist patients with moderate to severe conditions and was developed in a short time thanks to a unique combination of expertise. Conlog was responsible for designing and integrating the electronic, pneumatic, and control components, while Yehonatan Medical led the functional concept development. Together, the companies created an effective and advanced solution enabling rapid production of ventilators on a large scale — a direct response to the equipment shortage during the peak of the pandemic.
Simultaneously, Insupco is offering hospitals, healthcare centers, and research institutes the PuraShield air filtration system by Purafil — an advanced solution featuring four unique filters. The system eliminates up to 99.98% of airborne viruses and bacteria and is suitable for any treatment room or laboratory, helping to protect medical teams and patients while preventing the virus’s spread in enclosed spaces.
Lumitron also contributed to the research effort to find a cure and vaccine by supplying advanced technological solutions to researchers and laboratories. Among these solutions: Agilent Technologies’ xCELLigence Real-Time Cell Analyzer for accurate real-time monitoring of cell response to drugs; Eppendorf Bioblu disposable tools for vaccine production using VERO cells; and Eppendorf’s automated robots for large-scale nucleic acid extraction — a critical component in the research and development process.
We will continue to leverage our knowledge, people, and technology to improve public health and better face current and future challenges.
